US and China Increase military deployment in the South China sea

With President Trump's tough stance on the Legality of China's to the claims to South China, sea military tensions between the two superpowers are increasing. On Friday satellite images revealed a new story, Chinese PLA  air to air and air to ship are present on many different islands in the south china sea. US military also confirmed that two supersonic B1-B lancers took off from the US mainland to repositioning in Guam. The US claims to be protecting its allies in the region but its message for China is clear. Two days ao two US carrier groups performed an exercise in the south China sea, however satellite images show the presence of Chinese Aircraft on the woody Islands,8 Chinese Jets could be seen lined up in a row.

According to the analysts, it is the first such large deployments that are seen on the island, the configuration of these deployments is completely different from what has been seen in the past. Fighter jets are deployed to maintain air superiority however attack aircraft or bombers are used for anti-ship attacks in bombing missions. The Chinese military division is considering permanently station these aircraft on the woody island to cater American navy. As mentioned earlier the B1-B supersonic bombers have taken off from South Dakota and will be stationed in Guam. These deployments are made to full fill the US defense commitments with its allies.

China often says that they have their new bomber Xian H-6 strategic bomber that when coupled with CJ-10 cruise missiles can threaten Guam if China uses its fighter jets in the south China sea for harassment or fly more often in the region than before the US aircraft repositioning will make it able to reach the South China sea more quickly.

As China and US fight for influence in the South China sea, the tensions between the two nations are rising which puts the security of the region under threat.
